MotorStable does four things: it holds the garage, keeps the records, watches the dates, and produces the proof. Everything below ships today.
The garage
Every vehicle, properly catalogued.
Grid or list, whichever you prefer, remembered between visits. Each vehicle carries its photographs, its specification, a nickname, and the person who actually drives it.
- Photo gallery with a full-screen carousel, and any shot promotable to the display image
- VIN decode against the NHTSA vPIC database fills in year, make, model, and trim
- Nickname used as the display name everywhere, falling back to year, make, and model
- Search across nicknames as well as specifications

The records
Service history with the paper attached.
A maintenance record is not a line in a spreadsheet. It has a date, an odometer reading, a cost breakdown, a shop, warranty terms, and the invoice itself.
- Parts, labour, tax, and fees captured separately, with a total
- Service providers as real entities, so the shop you use appears in a dropdown after the first time
- Up to ten documents per record: invoices, receipts, inspection certificates, photographs
- Registration records covering plate, period, cost, inspections, and supporting documents
- Insurance records kept alongside, on the same timeline

The reminders
Deadlines that warn you first.
Registration and insurance both expire, and both do it quietly. Expiration status is visible on the vehicle at a glance, colour-coded, ninety days ahead.
- Green, amber, and oxblood status on every registration and policy
- A task list covering everything overdue and everything due in the next ninety days
- Filterable by type, viewable per vehicle or across the whole garage
- Email reminders, with SMS on the Collection tier
The report
Proof, in one document.
The reason to keep records at all is the moment you need to produce them. Export a complete service history as a PDF, or print it.

What it isn’t
No GPS. No dash cams. No telematics.
MotorStable is a records and compliance system. It does not track vehicles in real time, it does not read your OBD port, and it does not do electronic logging.
If you need to know where a van is right now, buy a telematics product. We would rather tell you that on this page than after you have signed up.
